Jan Min is driven by the pleasure he finds in creating atmosphere and lighting found in the land-and seascapes around him. Using different tones and values, he captures the beauty that inhabits the
places he visits, giving them a sensitivity that is strengthened with a latent poetry, which he strives to convey to the viewer’s eye. Most of them are places he visits or has visited and which captivated his attention. Sometimes the subjects are places he would love to visit again, while
standing in his studio. Since 2015 he is a co-founder of IWS Holland and since 2022 has been the President of this organization. He shows his works around the world in many exhibitions, as well as having won numerous awards (latest: Fabriano International Watercolor
